Note: These were made based on the results of the Downingtown Socratic Seminar. However, they could easily be applied to any client with whom Project ARC may partner.
The category of technology balance is not specifically addressed here, as the use of technology can be implemented to support any one of the listed instructional goals.
All of Project ARC's work takes the lens of Bloom's Taxonomy. We incorporate it into our workshops through the use of activities and protocols. We have written extensively about it in all of our published books, as well. Thus, the decision to use Bloom's versus Gagne's classifications. Additionally, we train all of our teachers to use each level of Bloom's and therefore the decision was made to incorporate all six levels as a model.
Remembering:
By the end of the current school year, ninety percent of ARC trained teachers can describe the basic concepts of ARC.
Understanding:
By the end of the current school year, ninety percent of ARC trained teachers can summarize an example of an ARC learning experience they used in their own classroom or observed in a colleague's classroom.
Applying:
By the end of the current school year, seventy-five percent of ARC trained teachers implement the use of the 6 Ps for planning an ARC learning experience.
(*people, problem, place, purpose, product, public)
Analyzing:
By the end of the current school year, eighty percent of ARC trained teachers can deconstruct an example ARC learning experience.
Evaluating:
By the end of the current school year, seventy-five percent of ARC trained teachers can recommend feedback on how to improve an ARC learning experience designed by a colleague.
Creating:
By the end of the current school year, sixty percent of ARC trained teachers can co-design an ARC learning experience for implementation.
